FLAG DAY AND POW/MIA CEREMONY

Larry Phillips - 6/16/2021

Quartermaster Larry Phillips conducted a POW/MIA Remembrance at the Missouri Korean War Veterans Memorial (MKWVM) in Kansas City on June 14, 2021.  The Remembrance was held in conjunction with MKWVM's annual Flag Day and Flag Retirement Ceremony.  Quartermaster Phillips also participated in the Retirement of the 48 star American Flag.
 
Quartermaster Phillips would like to thank the following VFW District 5 of Missouri Post whose members stepped up and assisted in providing chairs, transporting chairs, setting them up, parking cars and anything else asked of them on very hot June morning.

A special thank you goes out to the LSHS AFJROTC Cadets who also volunteered to assist with the chairs and shuttle bus service.  Cadet Major Ethan Williams, Cadet Captain Aiden Guiterrez, Cadet 2nd Lieutenant Morgan Holohan and Cadet Airman John Rider.  They were lead by Todd Holbert, MSgt, USAF (Ret.)
